Jenny Wang - Summer Intern
I still remember my first day at SIMUL8. I was excited and a little bit scared, it was my first time working in a real company. But I quickly settled in and felt at ease after being introduced to everyone in the office.
Everybody is helpful and nice to new recruits. I knew I would have a wonderful summer internship here.
I was introduced to my project mentor and was excited to find out that my work would focus on the usage of SIMUL8’s new product YouSIMUL8, which is the world's first simulation model sharing website.
The best thing about my Yousimul8 project is that I got the opportunity to gain experiences in very diverse areas: web-simulation modeling, data collection methods, market observation, and client’s behavior analysis. I love the fact I get a chance to observe the difference between the theories from textbook and the real business world.
It goes without saying that my internship definitely drives me to think more about my career than I had before. I was not sure that what I actually had a passion for, and what I wanted my career to be. I planned to try some different jobs in several felids before my internship. Because of my experience at SIMUL8, I am thinking about a more specific career goal that I want a career in marketing analysis. This gives me a clear target for my job-hunting after graduation. Or if I'm lucky maybe SIMUL8 will keep me on!
